Tattoo Design - Spider

Not to give anybody the notion I’m getting one, but I think I said on many occasions that if I were to get one it would be a spider. Why spiders? I don’t really know. I guess I can identify with the little buggers. I don’t know about the larger spiders, but the small household versions tend to keep to themselves. They pick the room you least visit and pretty much stay out of the way. Besides that, I’ve always had a weird fascination of them. Can’t really explain, but it definitely has nothing to do with Spider-Man. Otherwise you’d see a drawing of Spider-Man on here, eh.

I kind of got inspired to draw something I normally wouldn’t draw from watching a few episodes of Miami Ink. That show happens to be a guilty pleasure because my entire family hates tattoos for both personal and religious reasons. I have a love-hate relationship with tattoos---mainly due to seeing a lot of bad ones. Watching Miami Ink, you get to see a lot of good designs and even portraits. I happen to really dig Kat Von D’s work because it’s almost like putting a photograph on your body. That’s how real she can make it.

I guess if you’re going to permanently put something on your skin, make it look good is all I’m sayin’. The other day, I saw some chick get on the bus with her cleavage exposed (normally a good thing), but the sloppy cursive writing on her boob was horrible. I see the same sloppy crap arms and legs… Nothing personal to those of you who have that kind of stuff on you, but… It’s just me.

I don’t think I’ll ever get a tattoo. Just don’t have enough nerve and I tend to change my mind a lot when it comes to art. One minute I'd like it, the next I’d probably try to cut it off my skin. Mad props to those of you who done it and are happy with the results.

As for this Tarantula tattoo design, it's supposed to be located on the upper back---right in the middle, but it goes from shoulder to shoulder. If any of you poor bastards decide to use this, let me know. I'd love to see it on your skin.
